Protecting your eyes from UV light is essential, so make sure you wear your sunglasses when venturing out. Even if the sun isn’t that bright, UV light can affect the eyes. If the sun is out in winter you should still wear sunglasses – it makes no difference whether it’s hot or not. You should avoid sunbeds too, or at least always wear the appropriate eye protection.

The food you put in your body will play a big part in how healthy your eyes are. Make sure you fill up on plenty of healthy, natural foods. Foods like greek yoghurt, avocado, eggs, nuts, and so on are really good for the eyes and can strengthen vision. Vegetables and other healthy foods are a big help too. Have the odd treat, but remember you should be eating for health most of the time.
